The story of African queen Dido’s fated love for Aeneas, a Trojan prince, and the envious sorceress who conjures love away. Gorgeous music and a love story for the ages ensure this operatic jewel’s top-tier place in the operatic world.

Manuel De Falla’s El Amor Brujo [Love By Sorcery]

Well known as a ballet, this haunting work was originally a “gitaneria,”

or gypsy musica. Our new take has Candelas, a fearless Spanish gypsy, confronting her inner demons as embodied by the ghost of her faithless and abusive lover. The music is obsessively unforgettable.
