This hauntingly beautiful opera tells the intimate coming-of-age story of a girl from the heartland – inspired by the writings of James Agee.  Copland’s expansive music illuminates the immensity of the landscape, and the awakening to romance and to independence of a young woman.

Mozart’s fairy tale opera, complete with love, magic, sheep, and minuet, followed by a Holiday Sing-Along for young and old! Elizabeth Pringle’s sweet, funny English update introduces teenage Bastianna, a shepherdess, and Bastian, her once sweetheart. Both must enlist the local magician to win back each other’s love.

Immerse yourself in the popular sounds and island rhythms of La Havana, Cuba, and discover in its midst an imaginative re-telling of Bizet’s Carmen, intertwined with hits from Ernesto Lecuona’s Maria la O! A new opera, ballet, and song collaboration with the amazing young stars of The Washington Ballet’s Studio Company.

The 1930s Nazi persecution brought a flood of artists to America: Kurt Weill, Marlene Dietrich, Frederick Hollander, Erich Korngold, Arnold Schoenberg, and many others.  They, in turn, brought Expressionism and the dark, raunchy world of the Kabarett to this continent.  Featuring iconic songs and forgotten Berliner and Viennese cabaret gems.

Two sisters from Sandusky, Ohio, come to Hollywood seeking movie stardom, escorted by their fiancés, a vaudeville duo. Madcap hijinks ensue when a producer and his secretary, a scheming starlet (In Series star Randa Rouweyha) trap the boys into a bet to test their sweethearts’ fidelity.
